Eduard's Weekend Edition kit provides a 1/48 scale plastic model of the Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat, the early-war U.S. Navy carrier fighter distinguished by its fixed (non-folding) wings. The Weekend Edition format includes the injection-molded parts and a basic decal sheet without the additional photo-etched detail sets found in Eduard's more premium releases, making it a straightforward build for modelers focused on the core assembly.
